The show is title-sponsored by a mobile-phone brand.
Tips
usage
Modern marketing term: a sponsor 'crowns' an event or team with its name. Note the reading: 冠 here is guàn (4th tone, 'to crown / to put on top'), not guān (1st tone, 'crown' as noun). Often paired as 冠名赞助 guànmíng zànzhù 'title sponsorship'.
mistakes
Don't read this as guānmíng. The verbal sense ('to put a crown / name on something') always takes 4th tone — same rule as 冠军 guànjūn (champion) and 冠以 guànyǐ ('to give a name to').
