贷款利率

Chinese mortgage rates are pegged to the LPR (贷款市场报价利率, lending prime rate) published by the PBOC. As of the mid-2020s, 首套房 (first-home) rates have been cut repeatedly to support the property market. Two main mortgage types: 商业贷款 (commercial loan, higher rate) and 公积金贷款 (housing fund loan, lower rate, capped amount).

贷款 (loan) + 利率 (interest rate). Compare 存款利率 (deposit rate). 利率 alone is read lì-lǜ (4th + 4th tone); many learners mispronounce 率 as shuài, which is correct only in different compounds (e.g. 率领 vs 率直).
