餐 as a suffix generates cuisine names by nationality: 法餐 French, 日餐 Japanese, 韩餐 Korean, 意餐 Italian, 西餐 Western in general. The fuller form 法国菜 is interchangeable but 法餐 sounds more menu-like / restaurant-signage.
