Traditional Chinese 水车 included the famous 龙骨水车 (dragon-bone waterwheel), a foot-pedaled chain pump used since the Han dynasty for paddy-field irrigation. In modern usage 水车 also covers municipal water tanker trucks (洒水车) used for street cleaning.
