水帖 — both pronounced shuǐtiē and used interchangeably (
贴 'to stick' vs.
帖 'note/post'). The
水 verb
灌水 ('to pour water', i.e. flood the forum) gives the noun:
水贴 = the wet, content-free posts that float to the top of any active thread.
