版主 (bǎnzhǔ): forum moderator

版主 is the canonical title for community moderators on Chinese forum platforms - 百度贴吧 (Baidu Tieba), 天涯, 豆瓣 (Douban) groups. Tieba 版主 are colloquially called 吧主 (board master) instead, but 版主 is the cross-platform term. 'Mod' culture in China is centered there rather than on Reddit-style subreddits.

Cluster of forum roles: 版主 (moderator) - 吧主 (Tieba-specific board master) - 管理员 (admin, higher level) - 楼主 (LZ, original poster). Don't confuse with 博主 (bózhǔ, blogger / content creator) - different prefix character entirely.
