The Annals of Emperor Wu in the Book of Wei of the Records of the Three Kingdoms covers the life of Cao Cao.

Tips

usage
Emperor Wu, 'the martial emperor', was a posthumous title for many founders and conquerors, so the chapter is named together with its book: the 汉书 for 汉武帝, the 晋书 for 司马炎, the 梁书 for 萧衍 and the 三国志 for 曹操. The annals of Emperor Guangwu in the 后汉书 have a title of their own, 光武帝纪.
history
Cao Cao never took the throne. His son 曹丕 named him Emperor Wu of Wei after founding the dynasty in 220, which is why his life opens the 魏书 of the Records of the Three Kingdoms under this title.
