Everyone says Guilin's scenery is the finest under heaven, and this year I finally saw it with my own eyes.

Tips

usage
甲, the first Heavenly Stem, here means 'to rank first'. The line comes from a poem the Song official 王正功 wrote in 1201, and a carving of the poem survives on a cliff in Guilin. Locals add 阳朔山水甲桂林 'and Yangshuo's scenery is the finest in Guilin'.
