Tips

culture
Thirteen of the sixteen Ming emperors are buried in this valley at the foot of Tianshou Mountain (寿), north of Beijing. The site is UNESCO-listed as part of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Only Dingling (, tomb of the Wanli Emperor) has been archaeologically excavated — a controversial 1950s dig that damaged many relics.
