抑菌 (inhibit, slow growth) ≠ 杀菌 (shājūn, kill). Also compare 除菌 (chújūn, eliminate/remove bacteria). Chinese product packaging is strictly regulated: 抑菌 products cannot legally claim to 杀菌.
