安第斯 almost always appears in
安第斯山脉 ('the Andes mountain range'), running about 7,000 km along the western edge of South America through Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. It is the heartland of the Inca Empire and home of the llama and quinoa.
