吉野 (Yoshino), in Nara Prefecture, is one of Japan's most celebrated cherry-blossom (桜) destinations. The slopes hold roughly 30,000 cherry trees in four named groves. The name also belongs to the 吉野家 (Yoshinoya) gyūdon chain and 吉野川 (Yoshino River).
