冲凉 is strongly associated with Cantonese (粤语) and southern Chinese usage (广东, 广西, 香港). In standard Mandarin, 洗澡 (xǐzǎo) or 冲澡 (chōngzǎo) are the preferred terms. Outside southern China, 冲凉 may sound regional or informal.
