便当

Loanword from Japanese 弁当 (bentō), which itself came from Chinese. In Taiwan, 便当 is the standard word for a boxed meal. In mainland China, 盒饭 (héfàn) is more common for the same concept. The adjective sense (convenient/handy) is the original Chinese meaning.
