Tips

usage

Used where the mainland is set apart from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, as in statistics, prices and travel rules, and often shortened to 大陆. On the mainland, 内地 is the usual word when Hong Kong or Macau is the comparison, and 大陆 when Taiwan is.
