黄州 in 1080 after a trial over poems said to mock the court. He farmed a plot on an eastern slope, which gave him the name
东坡, and wrote the two 《
赤壁赋》 and the ci 《
念奴娇·
赤壁怀古》 at a red cliff by the river here, which is not the battlefield of 208.
