Macbeth (1606)
A tragedy by William Shakespeare (莎士比亚) written around 1606. It follows Scottish general Macbeth whose ambition, spurred by a prophecy and his wife, leads him to murder King Duncan and seize the throne, ultimately causing his own destruction. One of the greatest works in English literature.
