history
From a story about the future Han emperor Wudi (汉武帝): as a child, asked which cousin he would marry, he picked young Chen Ajiao (陈阿娇) and said 若得阿娇作妇,当作金屋贮之 - 'If I get Ajiao as my wife, I'll build a golden house to keep her in.' He did marry her, then later cast her aside. Recorded in 《汉武故事》.
