From a story about the future Han emperor Wudi (
汉武帝): as a child, asked which cousin he would marry, he picked young Chen Ajiao (
陈阿娇) and said '
若得阿娇作妇,
当作金屋贮之' — 'If I get Ajiao as my wife, I'll build a golden house to keep her in.' He did marry her, then later cast her aside. Recorded in 《
