Several figures are worshipped as 财神: 赵公明 and 关公 are usually the martial gods of wealth (武财神), 比干 and 范蠡 the civil ones (文财神). In 《封神演义》 he is a Daoist immortal killed in battle and later made lord of the gods who bring in wealth.
