Tips

history
A classic ploy in Chinese historical narrative: in 《三国演义》, Sima Yi 诈病 to fool Cao Shuang before launching the coup of 249 CE that handed the Sima clan control of Wei. The word (deceive) gives it a deliberately scheming flavor, stronger than the neutral (zhuāngbìng).
