翃 is not used in modern Chinese; its only attested senses are 'insects flying' and use as a personal-name character (a Tang figure named 王翃 is recorded in the old Tang history). The feather radical 羽 marks the flying sense; 厷 supplies the sound, the same element seen in 宏.
