瞬时 is a technical/literary word for 'instantaneous'. Common in physics:
瞬时速度 (instantaneous velocity),
瞬时功率 (instantaneous power). For everyday 'in an instant',
瞬间 (shùnjiān) is more natural. The
瞬 itself depicts an eye blinking - 'the time of one blink'.
