About Pai Hsien-yung

born 1937 · 作家 writer

Born in Guilin, the son of general 白崇禧, he grew up in Taiwan and settled in the US. His stories 台北人 portray mainlanders who moved to Taiwan after 1949, and he revived Kunqu opera with a youth version of 牡丹亭.
