Different from 电磁炉 (induction cooktop). 电磁炉 uses electromagnetic induction and only heats ferrous cookware; 电陶炉 uses infrared radiant heat and works with any material - glass, clay, ceramic, aluminum - but heats more slowly and uses more power.
