滨湖区 of Wuxi wraps around the northern shore of
太湖, China's third-largest freshwater lake. It contains
鼋头渚, traditionally considered the best cherry-blossom viewing spot outside Japan, and
灵山大佛, an 88-meter bronze Buddha. Hefei also has a
滨湖新区 on Chaohu Lake.
