Once the cheapest new car in China — the Jiangnan TT (a reworked 1980s Suzuki Alto) sold for around ¥30,000 through the late 2000s. Produced by Jiangnan Auto Works in Hunan, it became a symbol of bare-bones motoring in inland cities.
