Both characters take their less common readings: 揣 is chuǎi 'to guess', not chuāi 'to tuck into one's clothes', and 度 is duó 'to estimate', not dù.

usage

Close to 揣测 and 忖度. 揣度 usually aims at what someone else thinks or intends, while 忖度 is pondering in one's own mind.
