Yangzhong sits on a Yangtze River island and is one of mainland China's few full-island cities. It's known nationally for two things: pufferfish (
河豚, hétún) — eaten as a delicacy here despite the toxin risk — and being a major manufacturing base for electrical engineering equipment.
