Tips

history

Built in 1925 around officers trained at the 黄埔军校 (Whampoa Military Academy) and led by 蒋介石, it fought the Northern Expedition of 1926 to 1928 that reunified China under the Kuomintang. In 1947 it was renamed the armed forces of the Republic of China, 国军 for short.
