占星术. Note the distinction from
星座 (xīngzuò, 'zodiac signs') which refers to the popular newspaper-horoscope use, while
占星术 emphasizes the systematic divinatory art. Chinese imperial courts kept official
占星 (zhānxīng) records as state matters, since stars were thought to mirror the Mandate of Heaven.
