刷好评

Three review tiers on Chinese e-commerce: 好评 (hǎopíng, positive), 中评 (zhōngpíng, neutral), 差评 (chàpíng, negative). 刷 (shuā) here means 'to fake / artificially inflate'. Compare 刷单 (shuādān, fake-order fraud), 刷量 (shuāliàng, fake metrics), 刷粉 (shuāfěn, buy fake followers).

An entire shadow industry of 刷单工 ('order-stuffing workers') exists on QQ groups, doing fake purchases + reviews for ~5-10 yuan per task. Taobao and Meituan periodically crack down (the formal term is 反作弊 fǎn zuòbì, 'anti-cheating'). Buyers learn to spot fake reviews — copy-paste templates, no photos, accounts with no other history.
