Tips

history
列御寇 is a shadowy figure from the state of Zheng, known mostly from the Zhuangzi, which describes him riding the wind. The eight-chapter book under his name is now thought to have been put together around the 3rd or 4th century AD from older and newer material. In 742 the Tang court honoured it as 冲虚真经.
culture
Fables from it are taught in every Chinese school, among them 愚公移山 'the foolish old man who moved the mountains', 杞人忧天 'the man of Qi who feared the sky would fall' and 两小儿辩日 'two boys arguing about the sun'.
