Tips

grammar
出出 is the reduplicated form of the verb ('to go/come out'). Reduplicating a single-syllable verb adds a sense of casual repetition or 'a bit'. By far the most common use is in the AABB pattern 出出 (chūchū jìnjìn, 'going in and out repeatedly'), describing busy back-and-forth movement.
register
Colloquial. The Xinhua dictionary also lists an onomatopoeic sense of 出出 (a chuckling/scraping sound) but that reading is rare in modern usage.
