Tips

history
王羲之 wrote it in running script (行书) at a spring gathering at the Orchid Pavilion near Shaoxing in 353. 唐太宗 loved it so much that he had the original buried with him, so only copies survive; the most prized is the Shenlong copy by 冯承素, now in the Palace Museum in Beijing.
usage
兰亭序 is the short title used above all for the calligraphy and for the song. As a school text the piece is usually called 兰亭集序.
