侬 is the Shanghainese word for 'you' — equivalent to Mandarin 你 (nǐ). You'll hear it constantly on the streets of Shanghai but almost never in standard Mandarin. 侬好 (nóng hǎo) is 'hello' in Shanghainese.
history
In classical Chinese, 侬 meant 'I/me.' The famous Tang poem line 郎骑竹马来,绕床弄青梅 uses the related character 弄 — and the poet Li Bai wrote 侬 meaning 'I.' The meaning shifted to 'you' in Wu dialect.
