history
Literally "black dragon"; the tea's name is usually linked to its dark, curled dried leaves. The blunder sense came from Cantonese slang, and the football own goal, 乌龙球, is often explained as a sound pun on English "own goal".
usage
A blunder is something you 闹 or 摆: 闹乌龙 and 摆乌龙 both mean "to make a blunder", and 乌龙事件 is an embarrassing mix-up. On bubble-tea menus 乌龙 alone is the tea, as in 乌龙奶盖 (oolong with milk foam).
