A joint venture of China's 一汽 (First Automobile Works) and Volkswagen, founded in 长春 in 1991. It builds Volkswagen models such as the 捷达 (Jetta) and 迈腾 (Magotan), as well as Audis. China's other Volkswagen partner is 上汽大众 in Shanghai.
mistakes
The 一 in 一汽 means 'First', as in First Automobile Works, so it keeps its first tone: Yīqì, not yíqì.
