黛丽 is the back end of
奥黛丽·
赫本 (Audrey Hepburn) and similar Western female names. The character choices are deliberately flattering:
黛 means 'dark blue-green eye paint' (the inkstone-colored makeup ancient Chinese women used for eyebrows — long associated with feminine beauty), and
丽 means 'beautiful'. So a Western 'Audrey' becomes 'eye-makeup-beauty' — about as poetic as transliteration gets.
