Meanings

  1. 1 to stay in bed (after waking)
  2. 2 to dawdle in bed; have a lie-in

Examples

Tips

memory
'to cling to / refuse to leave' (as in 赖账 'refuse to pay a debt', 赖皮 'shameless') + 'bed' — literally 'cling to the bed'. The act is awake-but-not-getting-up, which is exactly the English 'lie-in'.
