Examples

国庆放七天,但要调休两个周末。
Guóqìng fàng qī tiān, dàn yào tiáoxiū liǎng gè zhōumò.
National Day gives seven days off, but you have to work two weekends to make up for it.
又调休?一周上七天班真的受不了。
Yòu tiáoxiū? Yī zhōu shàng qī tiān bān zhēn de shòubùliǎo.
Another schedule swap? Working seven days straight is unbearable.

China's public holiday system 'borrows' workdays before/after holidays to create longer runs. The resulting stretches of 6- or 7-day work weeks are one of the most complained-about features of the Chinese calendar.
usage
Also used for personal time-shift: 明天我调休 = 'I'm taking tomorrow off and making it up another day'.
