A 'cooling' (
清凉) summer sweet made from mung bean flour pressed into small molded cakes, usually stamped with a flower or character pattern. Strongly associated with Dragon Boat Festival (
端午节) and with the southern cities of
苏州 and
扬州. Pairs well with tea.
