秋田

秋田 (Akita) is a prefecture in northern Honshu, Japan, known for heavy snowfall, the Namahage demon festival, and especially the Akita dog breed (秋田犬). The most famous Akita was Hachikō (ハチ公), the dog who waited at Shibuya Station for his deceased owner for nearly 10 years.
