In 'The Fisherman' of the Songs of Chu, the fisherman urges Qu Yuan not to be so unbending.
Tips
mistakes
Read 父 with the third tone. In old texts 父 is a respectful word for an old man, as in 田父 'old farmer', not 父 'father'. So the word is yúfǔ, never yúfù.
history
In 《楚辞·渔父》, the exiled 屈原 says 举世皆浊我独清, 'the whole world is muddy and I alone am clean'. The fisherman smiles, sings 沧浪之水清兮, 'when the Canglang's water is clear...', and rows away.
