Tips

history
The historical Jiangxia Commandery (江夏郡), established by the Han, covered much of the middle Yangtze around modern Wuhan. Readers of 三国演义 know it as the base of Liu Biao's officer Huang Zu (黄祖) and later as the place Liu Qi held out before Chibi (赤壁). Modern Jiangxia District in Wuhan keeps the ancient name.
