Tips

culture
Lin Chong's arc is the definitive 逼上梁山 ('forced onto Mount Liang') story: the imperial marshal Gao Qiu's son covets his wife, so Gao repeatedly frames him until - at the snow-filled Wind-and-Snow Temple 风雪山神庙 - he kills the hit-men and flees to Liangshan. His slow, grinding fall is the novel's most sympathetic portrait of an honest man broken by a corrupt state.
memory
means 'to charge/rush' - fitting for a master spearman whose final act against his tormentor is a direct, unstoppable charge.
