From
陶渊明's
归去来兮辞 of 405, written when he gave up office to go home to his farm:
木欣欣以向荣,
泉涓涓而始流, 'the trees, glad, grow toward their prime; the springs trickle and begin to flow'. The trees seem to share his joy at going home. The idiom
欣欣向荣 'flourishing' is cut from the first half.
