Cao Dewang founded Fuyao Glass in Fujian in 1987; it became the world's largest automotive glass supplier. He is widely known as
曹德旺 or
玻璃大王 (Glass King) and for extensive philanthropy through the Heren Charitable Foundation. The 2019 Netflix documentary American Factory (produced by Higher Ground, winner of Best Documentary Feature at the 92nd Academy Awards) focused on his acquisition of a former GM plant in Dayton, Ohio.
