history

金庸 (Louis Cha) started the paper in 1959 with his schoolmate Shen Baoxin and ran his own novels in it to win readers, beginning with 神雕侠侣 'The Return of the Condor Heroes' in the first issue. He wrote its editorials for decades and sold it in the early 1990s.
