Prefecture-level city in northern Henan, just north of the Yellow River. Historically part of the ancient Wei state. Home to the "Red Flag Canal spirit" village of Liuzhuang (刘庄) and to Henan Normal University. The surrounding Huixian (辉县) area is known for the Wanxianshan (万仙山) scenic cliffs.
