安康市

安康 sits on the 汉江 (Han River) in the narrow strip of Shaanxi south of the 秦岭 — geographically more like Sichuan or Hubei than the rest of the province. It's known for 富硒茶 (selenium-enriched tea), 紫阳茶, and being one of the wettest parts of northern China. The city was renamed from 兴安 to 安康 during the Qing to avoid a taboo name clash.

安 (peace) + 康 (health) — together 安康 is a common greeting on holiday cards: 身体安康 ('peace and good health'), especially around 端午节. Don't confuse the place-name Ānkāng (capitalized) with the greeting (lowercase).
